               Casey’s Gym and Aquatic Center will be the center of fitness news when its business plan is implemented. The gym will incorporate new age fitness ideals and technology while hanging on to the fundamental theories and practices that makes fitness so important to society. Casey’s Gym and Aquatic Center will have various offerings and activities such as:

  • ·        cutting edge fitness equipment and the latest training and instruction on best use practices;

Through this projects diverse offering, the club will attempt to differentiate itself for the mainstream traditional gyms while maintaining a low cost strategy. This cost differentiated strategy will make the cost of membership a good price for the uniqueness of Casey’s.

               Casey’s Gym and Aquatic Center will be creating its first gym and aquatic center. This new company has a business model and plan that will fit the niche of the particular market in which they are interested. The Katy area provides an opportunity to reach their target market and start the company’s future long life. The company may be new but the managers and staff are no newbies to fitness. The majority of the staff is coming from a recently closed down athletic club in the Memorial area. The experience of more than half a century will apply to the atmosphere at Casey’s.
The general manager and owner is Casey Homer. Casey is a recent Texas A&M graduate with a finance degree. Casey has been working with health and fitness for the past 6 years. He has experience in areas of aquatics, personal training, coaching, and general fitness center work.
Casey’s Gym and Aquatic Center will also employ Kathy Been, Wendy Windex, Carolina Carten and Jeff Butal as department heads.
Kathy Been will be the head director of aquatics. She has been the head of aquatics at the number one aquatic center in Houston for over 30 years. She consistently out performs anyone else in the industry and has many years of results to prove it.
Wendy Windex will be the human relations director and head of customer service. Wendy has been involved with gym and aquatic management for over 25 years as well. She gained her experienced from the members voted best gym in Houston, several years running.
Carolina Carten is another seasoned educator and coach of health and fitness. She will be the director of the triathlon team, the companies leader in marketing, and public relations. Carolina has spent several years working in the fitness industry. She has also been the head and creator of the fastest growing triathlon team in Houston.
Jeff Butal will be head director of fitness and programs. Jeff has been working with the voted best gym in Houston as their head director of fitness and has over 20 years of experience in the health and fitness industry.
The gain of skills and knowledge from this staff of wellness veterans will be a sure gain on the competition, in turn creating core competencies and a strong competitive advantage.

The square foot count is around the same but the price is around $700,000 more. This premium even though encompasses .78 more acreage, would not provide the best location or the best building. The Cinco Ranch community is well established and would not have the opportunities to attain customers as the Fry road property. This strip center styled retail outlet would also need a lot of work with renovations in order to make it compatible for a gym and aquatic center.
